Real NYC Wedding | Barbara + Tim

When destination photographers Tag7 contacted Merci New York with Barbara and Tim's chic city ceremony, we swooned over all the Manhattan locales, hotels and hot spots they couple swept through in a day's time. {And then we oohed over Barbara's beautiful wardrobe, which was pure YSL perfection}. But what impressed us most were the shots leading up to and following the ceremony. In fact, I've intentionally omitted many actual-ceremony shots {though you can see them here}, to showcase how important "before and after" photos are... Not only will it take time to warm-up to the camera, but the resulting images will be some of your most cherished... the anticipation, the excitement, the early-details. They're priceless.

From the bride: While Tim and I were dating, we had to work in separate cities – I went to New York and he went to Hong Kong. So he visited often and we discovered New York City together, which made it so special. The ‘theme’ for the civil wedding weekend was to show our family 'our New York' – all the spots, restaurants and shops that we used to go to. We planned it on a whim. The civil wedding was supposed to be in Switzerland in August this year, just before our church wedding, but with everything set for the summer, we wanted something spontaneous and fun. We actually didn’t tell anyone but our immediate families, so it felt more special {plus it was fun to share the surprise when we got back to London}!
