Ok, so I'll start this post with journalistic integrity: Yes, I am personally vested in this event as a committee volunteer, however, it's certainly worth noting that the New York Junior League's bi-annual house tours {which take place each fall and spring} are truly some of the best in the city. Many of Manhattan's top interior designers and luminaries open their homes for this one-day event, so needless to say, the ideas and inspiration are absolutely spectacular. However, it's also a great way to get together with friends, bridesmaids, or your mother {like I do}, and enjoy a special autumn day together. This season's tour includes the Upper East Side townhouse of Estee Lauder kingpin John Demsey. The home exudes swank, debonair style {and is also featured in this month's issue of Elle Decor}. Mr. Demsey worked with Bibi Monnahan, a designer and creative consultant who juxtaposed bits of the bold colors below with Demsey's well-curated collection of glamorous black and white photography. Lunch at Mackenzie-Childs and a post-event reception at the gallery of Ana Tzrev are included in the ticket cost. For more information regarding the House Tour, and to purchase tickets, click here.
